About The Thrift Chicks
Hi, My name is Jeaneen J. McIlwain- McDaniels. Born & raised in Canton, Ohio. A product of Canton City Schools, I spent my junior year in high school as a foreign exchange student in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and returned to Canton to graduate from McKinley Senior High School. I then furthered my education by obtaining my undergraduate degree from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio and my Law Degree from the University of Akron School of Law. After decades of working in both the public and private sectors, I was blessed to be able to retire from the Timken Company and decided to open a thriftstore with my friends & a solo boutique legal practice.
My friends were offered other awesome opportunities which eventually resulted in their parting ways with the store, so I am the only original ThriftChick that remains. While my businesses are for profit businesses, I opened the thrift store with the idea of giving back to the community by offering a high quality second hand store and maintaining old fashioned thrift store pricing. So come on in & enjoy the ambiance. Warm soothing scents will greet you at the door and smooth jazz that is playing will help you enjoy the VIP treatment our customers receive. And when you make a purchase, we don’t call it a sell, that’s much too impersonal, we call it an adoption because we know you are going to LOVE your purchase.
